If you have itchy, painful, ugly eczema, you would probably like a simple, inexpensive natural remedy, right? Well, here's one for you … manuka honey.
It's hard for me to believe, but according to the Mayo clinic, eczema accounts for 43% of all doctor visits. I personally find that to be a very suspicious statistic but there is no doubt that lots of people have eczema and are embarrassed by it. So if you're one of them, you have nothing to lose by trying manuka honey and here's why it works:
1. It's an antibiotic.
2. It fights inflammation.
3. It's fairly cheap – not as cheap as 'regular' honey in the grocery store but definitely cheaper than prescription drugs.
4. It can't possibly hurt you!!! This is a big deal compared to using powerful drugs like steroids.
5. You can find other uses for the honey if it doesn't heal your eczema so there really is no risk.
One caution: make sure you use RAW manuka honey – like the jar on the right – which is available on Amazon. Heat destroys all kinds of good stuff and we don't want that if the honey is to be effective on your eczema.
And if you try this simple home remedy, please be sure to let us know how it works.
