Day 3 of The Liver Cleansing Diet has gone well. I like the author's attitude. She says that if we go on a 24 hour cream cheese-ice cream-chocolate binge, we don't need to cut our throats in despair. :-) Our detox cleanse isn't ruined. We went down a wrong trail for a time and our body cleanse can resume when we've regained our sanity (my word). Fortunately, I didn't do that yesterday.
My Menu From Day 2 of My Liver Detox
Breakfast: this was absolutely yummy! Following Dr. Cabot's directions, I ate two pieces of whole grain toast that were topped with banana, honey and LSA (Linseeds, Sunflower seeds and Almonds).
This was beyond delicious and very filling. I wasn't a bit hungry after I ate this. I have to admit, though, that I didn't eat all that slowly. "Scarfed" is a more accurate word.
Lunch: first, like yesterday, I made live, raw juice in my trusty Greenstar juicer. My juice contained celery, carrot, cabbage, lemon, an apple and more parsley from my yard.
Then I mixed a can of tuna, a chopped tomato and two chopped green onions in a bowl. I topped it with a small amount of olive oil and sea salt.
Dinner: Dinner was the same as yesterday – a bowl of fruit that contained fresh blueberries, a banana and defrosted cherries. I covered this with no-fat yogurt that included some stevia and vanilla flavoring and topped it with some LSA.
Fortunately, though, I quit eating after my fruit and yogurt so I didn't have that over-stuffed feeling like I did yesterday. Yeah me!
DAILY SUMMARY: the food is great! No problems at all in sticking with this. I'm feeling good, too. Don't know what's happening internally, but externally all is well.
