Lots of folks – like me! – avoid going to the doctor for as long as we can. There are lots of reasons for this reluctance: for some people, it’s the expense; some are "too busy"; and none of us LIKE going to doctors but some people are actually afraid of them. That fear could be the fear of a diagnosis of a dreaded disease or a fear of needles. Then there are other reasons for not going – for instance, I refuse to take drugs which are all too often the prescribed remedy, so I feel there is no point in going since I’m not going to take their advice anyway. Whatever the reason for the avoidance, we need to pay attention to any physical problems we develop and decide upon a course of treatment whether it involved doctors or not. Since diabetes is so common these days (and we need to ask why?) a treatment for diabetes is on the minds of many.
Diabetes & Amputation
Diabetes, if unattended can result in some terrible outcomes. To begin with, diabetes can frequently lead to problems with loss of feelings in the feet and there might appear to be an impairment in the secretion of oil and sweat which naturally lubricates the skin. The impaired immunity system can result in the increase in sores that do not heal and in the worst cases amputation can become necessary.
Diabetes & Your Eyes
When your blood sugar is not well controlled, the blood vessels in the eye become weak. This leaks liquid into the part of the eye responsible for vision. Eventually the blood vessels close off, stopping blood supply to the retina. As the disease progresses, new blood vessels form. These vessels are quite delicate and bleed into the eyes causing severe vision problems and blindness.
Retinopathy is a vision problem that is everyday in diabetes, and sadly, it occasionally leads to blindness. This issue is connected with problems with the blood supply to the eye. It causes decreased vision and when not dealt with results in blindness. But once again, it should be stressed that with curative these are ordinarily avoided.
Other Symptoms Of Diabetes
Diabetic ketoacidosis can come along very suddenly and the signs can be frightening. If we don’t know that they’re associated with, or the result of, diabetes they could easily be mistaken for something else – something very frightening:
* Frequent urination (more than is usual)
* Pain – sometimes severe – in your abdominal area
* Muscles that are stiff, hurt and are hard to move
* Exhaustion and lack of energy
* Halitosis (bad breath)
* Low (less common that ‘high’) blood pressure
* Frequent feelings of nausea and sometimes even vomiting
* Occasionally, diabetics pass out
* Shortness of breath
If someone you love is a diabetic and you are around when they are going through two or more of those symptoms you ought to consider it a medical emergency and seek help immediately.
Less severe characteristics of diabetes include unexpected loss of weight – that is, you haven’t been on a diet or have any other reason to suddenly lose weight. This is associated with the belief that nearly all of the calories consumed aren’t properly processed in the body and there is a loss of sugar and water in the urine. Extreme thirst is common with diabetes. As the blood sugar level rises the system compensates by signaling thirst in an effort to dilute the blood sugar. This naturally contributes to increased frequency of urination.
Natural Diabetes Treatment
Standard medical ‘wisdom’ says that diabetes can only be controlled – not eliminated. However, my experience says otherwise. I was diagnosed with ‘pre diabetes’ and by following the advice in two books, all my symptoms have vanished. The first is Dr. Neal Barnard’s Program for Reversing Diabetes: The Scientifically Proven System for Reversing Diabetes without Drugs. The second is The pH Miracle for Diabetes: The Revolutionary Diet Plan for Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetics by Robert Young. Diabetes IS curable! Their natural diabetes treatment wisdom has been crucial to my life and definitely worth considering by any diabetic.
