Weight And Fat Loss Is In Your Head!

If directions to go on a diet and start exercising – vigorously – worked, then there would be no weight problems in the US and other first world countries. But obviously, that’s not the case or approximately 60% of our adult population wouldn’t be overweight. There are hundreds (thousands?) of diet books and programs, almost as many exercises ones and countless gyms, special foods, etc. What does this prove? That the ‘problem’ of weight and fat loss isn’t what we think it is and if your question is about how to lose weight, you’re looking in the wrong place!!!
What we eat and how much we exercise are only effects, not the cause. The only place the cause can possibly be is … in our heads! If you don’t believe that, think about this: what impels a person to eat a huge burger, a double order of fries and a giant milkshake at one meal? We don’t have to be nutrition experts to know that such a meal damages our bodies.
Why in the world would any sane person do something that hurts himself?
And yet we do.
All the time.
And we don’t just overeat or lie around the couch instead of getting out in the fresh air and moving. Our society is filled with destructive behavior like smoking, taking drugs, gambling, and all the other sorry litany of vices.
So, going on and on about what to eat is pretty pointless. Go to any library or do research on the Net and you’ll find a diet that suits you. And as for the exercise, just get out and take a short walk. There. Problem solved. And while you’re doing those things, start figuring out how to lose weight safely by getting into your head and understanding what’s going on in there. After all, just ‘losing weight’ isn’t enough. We need lifestyle changes if we’re going to get it off and keep it off – without suffering and misery.
