For SAFE, as well as effective, sleep treatment, forget the drugs!
Did you know that over 70 million Americans suffer from insomnia and other sleep disorders? Over 60% of these people actually have a chronic disorder. There are 84 classifications of sleep disorders. With all these people suffering from insomnia and its many side effects, it is no wonder so many people are seeking sleep treatment.
There are actually loads of sleeping treatments available in today’s market. But most sleep treatment pills have numerous side effects, plus they can be harmful to one’s health and do not usually provide the person long-term, restorative sleep.
Hypnosis Can Put You To Sleep – And Keep You There!
Many people have benefited from hypnosis and self-hypnosis as a long-term natural sleep treatment solution. There are many serious scientific studies proving that hypnosis can provide deep sleep and can aid the sufferer in achieving the rejuvenation they are seeking.
In order to fall asleep, your brain has to go from a beta brain wave into an alpha wave. The alpha state is where everything seems dreamy and where visualizations seem clear. In the alpha state, your brain is primed to let you go into the deeper phases, the delta and the theta states, so that your body naturally completes the all-important sleep cycle.
Hypnosis can be extremely effective in curing chronic insomniacs. It actually changes the way the subconscious mind works. In fact, the subconscious mind does not really know the difference between a real event and an imagined one. Thus, hypnosis usually works because it can create the belief that something is possible, so the brain acts on this belief as if it is real. A new outcome is created–in this case, the sleep you are so desperately in need of.
Similarly, music can be used as an effective sleep treatment. Certain types of music can be a soothing way to help focus your attention and assist your body in relaxing. It is a subconscious reaction and has proven very successful to help calm a person’s racing mind and stressful thoughts.
Natural Sleep Treatments Are Much More Effective – Not To Mention Much Less Harmful – Than Medications!
Before you try harmful prescription medications, there are scores of various natural remedies and supplements that have worked as sleep treatments for insomniacs.
Valerian is an herb that has proven highly effective as a remedy for insomnia. In contrast to sleep medications, it is not believed to be addictive and it does not cause that fuzzy grogginess the next day.
There are countless relaxation techniques that people use today to increase their sleep time and to fall asleep faster. Most of these various techniques only require about 20 minutes of your time as you go to bed. Many people have found relief in visualization, yoga, and progressive muscle relaxation.
A person’s diet is also important when it comes to sleeping treatments. Caffeine is highly destructive on one’s sleep patterns. Sugar can disrupt sleep in the middle of the night as blood sugar levels fall. Magnesium is a natural sedative, so eating foods rich in magnesium, such as dark leafy green vegetables, wheat bran, almonds, and cashews, can be beneficial as sleeping treatments.
Joshua says
LOVE valerian. Works the best for relaxation and quality sleep. Personally, I like to enjoy a cup of chamomile tea before bed. Tasteful, and relaxes me. Then I take a little valerian and I’m out like a light. Love it.
