We don't want to just look younger – we want to BE younger. We don't want to age – we want to reverse aging. But humans have been holding on to this dream for millenia, so is it as much a mirage as Ponce de Leon's fountain of youth? Actually, no. Not if we use the Anti Aging Super Duper Secret Weapon: water!
Does it surprise you to hear the best anti aging product in existence is plain old, taken-for-granted water? Water is our best friend in the battle to restore or hold on to our youth. Without water there is no existence. Period. Water is simply that significant. Though there are undoubtedly life forms in the universe that don't require water, we carbon-based organisms must have water – and lots of it.
Most people don't know that water is important for our skin – in fact, you can use the most expensive cosmetic in the world and without water you won't have the wrinkle free skin you want so desperately. But water goes fat beyond just cosmetics. It's a requirement for life itself.
You Are An Ocean: Anti Aging & Health
Think of your body as trillions of water-filled balloons floating in an ocean. Our body is about 75% water (90% when we're very young) and our blood and lymph are 94% water. And it's (ideally) salty water that is basically identical to ocean water.
The health of our bodies depends on the health of each, individual cell. And each cell has water inside the cell and it's bathed, or floating, in more water.
Clearly, if …
We don't have enough water
Or, the water is crappy
… we're in trouble. Big Trouble.
Now, given the Standard American Diet (SAD), imagine if each one of those delicate cells is filled with and floating in coffee, coke, martinis, McDonald's shakes?
Get the picture?
To Stop Aging & Be Superbly Healthy …
Everything we eat has water in it – even a cracker. But there is no comparison between the liquid in a tomato versus a cracker. And we MUST have this healthy liquid if we want to be healthy.
We lose water constantly. It leaves our bodies through the four processes of elimination:
Urination
Perspiration
Defecation
Respiration
Imagine you're outside on a cold day and you can see your breath. Why does that happen? It's because the water vapor from your breath condenses in the cold. If you weren't excreting water, that wouldn't occur.
It's important to know that we can't, CAN NOT, replace this vital liquid with anything other than water. Soft drinks, alcohol, tea, coffee, energy drinks, etc., dehydrate the body, rather than hydrating it. In fact, the rule of thumb is 1:2. That is, for 8 ounces of cola, you need 16 ounces of water.
For Wrinkle Free Skin
It's obvious that water will help our skin and it does this in several ways:
If the cells of our skin are hydrated, they will be plump, rather than dried like the desert right before the rainy season. This keeps our skin looking younger and reduces the wrinkles which might be compared to cracks in the desert floor.
Water – internal water – washes away internal toxins. Yes, washing our skin from the outside is quite helpful but internal washing is even better. Enough water = a deep pore cleansing.
The power of water has been vastly underrated in our high-tech, pharmaceutical-loving culture and research is now beginning to catch up to this knowingness that has been around for thousands of years. That water has an effect on some diseases, and helps to prevent many others, is beyond doubt. And many of these diseases are extremely aging. And the older we are biologically, the older our faces look.
"But If I Drink A Lot Of Water I'll Get Bloated"
The exact reverse is true! The reason the body becomes bloated is because it is holding on to every drop of water available. And what do we do when this happens? Take dieuretics! The worst possible choice we can make.
We're out of water ==> we take dieuretics to reduce the water which is already in short supply ===> make the situation worse
There is no point in wondering if this is true or not. Simply increase your amount of water and see what happens. It might take a few days, but when your body is convinced that there is an adequate supply of water and it no longer has to fear dehydration, it will release the water that makes you look bloated.
How Much Water Should I Drink?
There are many different answers to this question. Personally, I go with the recommendation of Dr. Robert Young, author of the pH Balance programs. He recommends 1/2 ounce for every pound you weigh. Thus a 150 pound person needs 75 ounces of water each day.
An important point: spread your 75 ounces out over the day. Drinking all of it in a short period puts undue stress on the kidneys.
The #1 anti-aging product REALLY is water! If you want to be wrinkle free and look younger then drink more water. But not just any old water … tap water is incredibly polluted. The good news: it's easy to get perfect water, water that your body adores – and all for less than $5. No expensive water filtration system needed!

In India, many of us belive (at least I do) that Vegetarians live longer and they look younger as well! One of the many reasons for that is the fact that it is a more natural diet for us humans. Moreover, it is possible to to eat veggies and fruits without having to contaminate them with added oils, spices and what have you many of which are processed. I had so far been saying – Love the earth? Be a Vegetarian!! Now I’ll add another slogan – Wanna look younger, Be a Vegetarain!

I’ve been told countless times that I look younger than I am. One day I was out with 2 of my grandchildren and everyone thought they were my kids. They were 3 and 4 and I was 56. When I said I was their grandmother, folks thought I was kidding. I always thought it was just idle flattery. However, one day my doctor asked me to see the clinic’s nutritionist. First thing she asked was, “How old are you?” I told her I was 55 at that time. She said, “You MUST drink a lot of water!” I replied, “I do. I love water and always have a bottle of water with me everywhere I go.” Then she said, “You look no older than 40, if that. People don’t realize how much water does for their skin!” Wow. Now I know why I’m always told how much younger I look than I really am. Water is the wonder!
