Photofacials: Photo Facial Rejuvenation For Deep Skin Treatment

Written by Jessica Taylor 1 Comment

Photofacials are different from laser facial treatments, although some people think they are the same. Photofacial treatments give better results than laser treatments because they can treat issues like dilated vessels and pigmentation issues by going deeper into the skin. Photofacial rejuvenation is an especially effective age spot treatment.

Photo facial rejuvenation is able to do this because of the type of light emitted by a photofacial machine, as opposed to light emitted by a laser treatment machine. A laser emits a light across a single wavelength, while the photofacial machine emits a light treatment in many wavelengths, which penetrates the skin at a deeper level without damaging the skin cells.

Access to this deeper level gives the photofacial treatment the ability to repair skin problems that the laser treatment cannot.

The photofacial rejuvenation is also helpful in repairing many other skin issues, including pigmentation problems, broken capillaries, scarring, rosacea, and many others.

One of the best things about receiving a photofacial treatment, aside from the benefits for your skin, is the quickness of the procedure, which is generally only about thirty minutes long.

Because you can immediately resume your day to day activities after a photofacial, it is both very convenient and very popular.

You will usually need to wear sunscreen after receiving the treatment to help protect your skin, and in some cases there may be dryness or redness on the treated skin, particularly for those whose skin is sensitive.

Most people do not get just one photofacial treatment because the results are more effective as more treatments are performed.

Because of this, it is recommended that those receiving a photofacials should book a series of treatments within a few weeks after the photofacial they first received, in order to receive the best possible results.
