If you’re looking for beauty recipes, here are two that are very, very healthy and good for your skin. They give that famous ‘glow’ and minimize lines and wrinkles.
Make A Thyme Astringent That Will Minimize Pores and Tighten Skin
You can make a nice purifying scrub with two simple ingredients: thyme (pictured above) and baking soda. Simply place about 12-15 dried thyme leaves in a bowl and lightly mash them with the back of a spoon. Mix the leaves with 1 teaspoon of baking soda and enough water to make a paste. Massage the thyme paste over clean skin that is slightly damp. Use small circles when rubbing over your skin. Then rinse off the thyme, pat dry and follow up with the oil below.
Use your thyme astringent 2-3 times per week.
Warm 1 cup of almond oil and add 3 lavender tea bags or 1 Tablespoon of dried lavender flowers (making sure the flowers are culinary grade and not grown with pesticides). Allow your oil to sit for one day and strain out the lavender. Put a few drops of oil on your face before you go to sleep.
Both of the beauty concoctions above keep indefinitely and you don’t need to put them in the refrigerator. All you need to do is look beautiful. :-)
