After the really spooky Halloween cross stitch patterns of the last days, we decided that today we need one that is cheerful and upbeat. So, ta-da! Drumroll. Here is a friendly Halloween witch waving her hand at us.
The colors of orange, red and gold in this pattern are typical of autumn and the leaves add the perfect autumnal touch. Our witch isn’t gnarled, ugly and sporting a huge twisted nose with a wart. Instead, she’s pretty and her smile is open and friendly with nothing sinister in it. I have a “guardian” witch hanging from the ceiling lamp over my bed. According to the lore, she’s there for protection and this witch could be her sister. Kids will love this lady!
There are two versions, as mentioned above. The other one is on a solid white background so you can choose the color on which you want your witch to ride. Perhaps even black? In that case, we’d suggest outlining her boots in one strand of white so that they will stand out from the background.
If you want to stitch our friendly witch, you will need 14 colors and she is 266 stitches wide by 188 stitches tall. She is certainly a light-hearted and enjoyable Halloween cross stitch pattern.
