This sinister Halloween cross stitch pattern depicts a grinning skull, and that grin isn’t a nice one! He looks as though he is anticipating some really terrible events that are coming our way.
A skull isn’t a cheery sight anyway, but we’ve all seen enough of them to know that there are really creepy ones and … less creepy ones. And even though our skull’s nose is an upside down heart, we aren’t reassured by that. What does he know that we don’t? And watercolor is usually a ‘cheerful’ medium since the strokes are light and delicate. This Halloween cross stitch pattern just proves that watercolor, too, can be sinister.
If you want to stitch our scary Halloween skull, you will need 12 colors of DMC floss and your finished piece will measure 142 stitches wide by 179 stitches tall.
