My fast healthy weight loss, Day 2, began as pure torture! I said I wouldn’t have my morning drink (see Day 1) but I almost caved. I know that it’s important to keep a part of my morning ritual so I got in my car and drove to my business mail box to check the mail. It is not far from the QT [Quik Trip] gas station where I get my morning frozen cappuccino and I drove part of the way to the QT but then turned around and came back. It was one of the hardest things I’ve done in quite a long time. It really goes to show the power of ritual and habit. They are incredibly strong and very difficult to change. Or at least that’s the way it seems to me right now.
A Healthy Weight Loss Diet Plan ‘Secret’
If I want to lose weight easily, I can’t feel deprived. When I got home from roaming up and down the road, fighting with myself, I fixed myself a "special" drink and the ingredients were:
One banana
Almond milk
Vanilla flavoring
Stevia
Cinnamon
I dumped all of those ingredients in my VitaMix and came up with a frothy and delicious drink. I have to say though that it did not take care of my craving so I fixed a second banana drink. And yes, they’re delicious — but I still want my frozen cappuccino.
This is hard!
My Healthy Fat Loss Salad
Still and all, I stuck it out and I made myself a delicious fruit salad for breakfast. It included
Organic spinach
Organic lettuce
One gala organic apple
A handful of fresh strawberries
Some grapes
For a dressing, I mixed up some V-8 juice and orange marmalade. The orange marmalade is made with only fruit juice and I mixed it with the V8 just to give a low bit of sweetness to a fruit salad. It is absolutely yummy.
A Quick Way To Lose Weight: Beans
For lunch I was incredibly hungry. I knew that I had to have something more substantial than veggies and fruits so I fixed myself a bean dish that is just wonderful. It is extremely filling and it keeps me full for hours. Here is what I did:
Two cans of organic black beans
One large can of chopped organic tomatoes
Some cumin powder
Some chipotle chili powder
I can’t tell you exactly how much cumin or chili powder to dump into the pot, but just add enough to suit your own taste. This wonderful dish only has to cook a few minutes because basically all you’re doing is heating it up. Naturally, it gets better the longer it sits.
Fast healthy weight loss today? You bet! It was a good day. No cheating whatsoever, the food is easy to eat and I’m enjoying it — except for the torture in the morning.
