5 Practical Ways To Lose Weight Naturally

Written by Sydney Johnston Leave a Comment

So many people continue to be frustrated because they spend so much time on their diet pills and programs, but they only end up with despair and tears during the process. Most of these people don't lose fat at all. What they lose is money they spent on all the latest fad diets on the market and the specific foods, drinks or pills that go along with them. It's important for people to realize that in order to lose weight, their intake of energy has to be less than the energy that they use. If not, they will continue to gain weight or not change at all.

Before you starve yourself, or go out and buy another diet book, read the five tips below on how you can lose weight naturally.

1. More Fruit

The most efficient food on earth for animals and humans is fruit. It's the perfect mix of fruit and water. When compared with meat, fruit takes less than half the time to consume than meat does. You can never eat too much fruit. It has minimal calories so you can eat a lot without putting on weight. Fruit juices are not the same as fresh fruits. The nutrient solids have been taken out of fruit juices. Limit your juice intake and stick to raw, fresh fruits.

2. More Veggies

Vegetables don't contain many calories, and they are a good source of nutrients. They have different nutrients than fruits have, so you must eat some vegetables as well. All vegetables don't taste horrible. Corn and carrots are very tasty! Don't let your distaste for a few vegetables turn you away from eating them. Try a few different vegetables, and you will surely find some new ones that you can enjoy.

3. Portions

If you really want to lose weight, it's important to eat much smaller portion amounts several times during the day. If you think about it, most humans have three meals a day. But, if you look at nature around us, you will see that most animals are nibbling all day long. Food will be burned off better when eaten often in smaller amounts. It may be different than what you are used to, but you should try to eat much smaller portions several times a day.

4. Never Skip Meals

You should never skip meals just because you want to lower your calories. People often think that if they skip a meal, say for instance breakfast, and only eat two meals a day, they will lose lots of calories in the body. This is not true. In order to metabolize the foods we eat, we need to eat those meals so we have fuel in our bodies to build metabolism. The better your metabolism is the better chance of ridding your body of calories. Skipping meals will totally throw your metabolism off, and it won't give you the weight loss that you want to see.

5. Exercise

Exercise isn't a necessity to lose weight, but it can help you. Interval training is one of the best sources of exercise. You can burn twice the fat in less time than you can other types of exercise.

Losing weight is a battle many of us fight. Losing weight naturally is the easiest and best way to lose the weight the healthy way.

When we don't militantly count our blessings, the voices in our head start jabbering, telling us that life sucks, that we suck.
