If you want to lose weight and get in shape – in fact, you want the body of a Greek goddess or god – it is easy to get become confused and frustrated. One of the hottest systems, if not THE most popular, right not is the P90X Workout Plan. I became interested when a friend named Madison started and completed the plan. He was a nice looking guy with no fat on his body. But there weren’t noticeable muscles, either. Three months later, he was a hunk! Since this is a new fitness and fat reduction process that is being peddled online, we want to give you an objective P90X review so that you can choose it or not, based on your own personal goals.
The P90X plan was designed by Tony Horton and consists of a workout routine as well as meal plans and diet tips. The program covers 90 days and claims extreme changes. The website promises that "extreme" isn’t really a good enough word to use for the changes that you will go through if you see this program to the end.
Are words like ‘extreme’ and ‘dramatic’ justified? Yes, possibly. Obviously, if you are, say, 100 pounds overweight, you’ll need more than 90 days if you really want to lose all your excess weight and adjust your life. But for folks that have twenty pounds or so to get rid of, 90 days should be sufficient. More weight reduction, however, when accomplished safely, needs additional time. But in 90 days you could lose significant weight while developing more muscle. The real benefits could be a new attitude, new habits and a fierce determination to go the distance until you reach your new body. If so, this could indeed be life-changing.
One fantastic thing about this DVD-based system is the variety of workouts that are included. The creator of the program emp[hasizes that to really lose weight you have to do a variety of different kinds of exercises. In addition to aerobic training, you will do yoga, strength and endurance training. The reason for this wide variety is what Horton calls "muscle confusion", a notion which is becoming more and more popular. The idea is that if the human body does the same activity, day after day, over time the body will be accustomed to the movement and refuse to give up more pounds and or develop more muscle. However, if its ‘confused’, it won’t have time to adapt and will continue to work hard, thus speeding up results.
If you want to transform your life, you need to do a variety of things. It is not going to happen if you merely do a few exercises every day for a few months. When you employ this promotion you’ll learn how to correct your eating habits. You’ll have a number of different kinds of workouts to do. If one does almost everything this program tells you to perform you’ll be on your way to seriously changing things for yourself.
Will I Ever Do The P90X Program?
Unlikely. It seems to be more for the "hard body" guy set which is definitely not me. So, in spite of this positive P90X review, I don’t see it in my future. It surely seems to work, though, for those who persist. Like Madison. Way to go, my friend!
