The pH Miracle For Weight Loss

The pH Miracle Miracle For Weight Loss diet is one of the few diets with which I’ve had personal experience so I can accurately report my impressions. This isn’t just a book – it’s a lifestyle. And yes, it’s about losing weight – but it’s much more than that. According to the author, Dr. Robert Young, if we are overweight and have a myriad of other symptoms, it’s because our bodies are too acidic, rather than being alkaline. If we’re too acidic, the result is that we’re loaded with "microtoxins" – molds, yeasts, lots of fungus and critters. Not only do these nasties harm our bodies, they also release wastes that further acidify our bodies.

Dr. Young has an interesting perspective on fat – he states that we should be GRATEFUL for our excess pounds!!! He claims that putting fat around our organs is our body’s way of protecting them from the acid. In fact, here is his explanation: FAT = ACID. So, by following his alkaline diet, we will easily and naturally lose weight – and improve our health drastically. Some signs of too much acid are: chronic fatigue, excess mucous production, nasal congestion, frequent colds and infections, stress, anxiety, weak nails, dry hair, dry skin, headaches, arthritis, muscle pain, hives and leg cramps.

The Alkaline Food Diet

The basis of this eating program is alkaline food, which is better for your health and for your body. Since humans have a slightly alkaline pH, eating alkaline foods helps support the bodily pH balance. Most people eat a lot of acidic foods like animal protein, dairy products and wheat. The pH miracle diet consists of certain fruits, vegetables, alternative grains and vegetarian protein sources. Think about how much of your diet relies on high acid foods, like animal protein and dairy products. If these problems have been a bother to your life and your health for some time, you’ll benefit from giving the pH miracle diet a try.

The pH miracle diet is a welcome relief for those who have tried low carb diets with little success. The foods are less harsh on the stomach and digestive system than the heavy protein required on low-carb diets. There is also a better balance of protein to carbohydrates. The basis for selecting the proteins used on the pH miracle diet is their level of acid. The proteins consist of alkalizing tofu, beans and nuts.

If you’re a vegetarian, like I am, this diet is pretty easy. I’ve followed it with no problem at all. It has tons of veggies, grains and allows fats, which many diets don’t. And yes, bread is allowed (certain breads, that is) which is great for me because buttered toast is my favorite food on the planet

The only thing I had trouble with is the prohibition on fruit. Young states that all fruits have way too much sugar – and yes, it doesn’t matter that it’s ‘natural’ sugar – because the nasties in our body LOVE & ADORE sugar, just like we do. The only fruits that are allowed are lemons, limes and grapefruits (which I do NOT like).

About meat … if you’ve given up meat for a day or two and felt better, then this diet may be very beneficial for you. There is no meat on the diet, and the only alkaline dairy product allowed is goat milk. Tofu, which has long been a mainstay of vegetarian diets, is a part of the pH Miracle diet but I don’t like tofu at all so I don’t eat it. There is a tofu cream cheese and a tofu sour cream that I like and they’re very helpful in making interesting meals.

If your current diet consists mostly of processed foods and very few vegetables, you will definitely benefit from the pH Balance eating plan. A diet that consists of manufactured food has very little natural nutrients. This can malnutrition, even when we eat a lot of food. It seems strange that many overweight people have malnutrition. How is this possible when they get so many calories? It’s because the calories aren’t truly satisfying the body and giving it the nutrition that it needs.

The pH miracle diet is a good diet for EVERY human body! Of course, the vast majority of us won’t follow it but if it appeals to you, definitely give it a try. And let us know what happens.
