We humans underestimate the wildlife that shares our planet with us. One of our favorite posts on BlissPlan is of an octopus expressing gratitude, which seems amazing, but it’s clearly true. Now here’s a whale who actually retrieves a girl’s cell phone.
Around May of 2019, a beluga whale was found in Norway wearing a tight harness. A local fisherman jumped into the water and removed the darn thing and there is speculation that the Russians are training whales to do … what?
I’m not sure if it’s good or bad for the whale but (s)he obviously is used to humans because it saves the phone and allows them to pet him or her. Watch how he opens his mouth as he gets near the boat. Of course, the phone was ruined, but the whale didn’t know that.
Apparently there is some concern about whales who are in captivity and then find freedom in the ocean because they become used to having their food supplied by their captors. So can this delightful creature fend for herself? Let’s hope so. And thank you gorgeous creature for these moments of joy.
