With the increase of awareness of chemicals and what they do to our bodies more of us are looking for ways to be more natural. In addition to wanting natural products and ways of doing things, many women also want to be able to take care of their skin. For many it is important to have soft, glowing, skin with little to no acne, and, of course, the less work it takes to achieve these results, the better.
There is one huge component that can help with both being natural and skin care. Your diet, what you eat and drink, is a larger factor in natural skin care than you might think.
Depending on what you eat you can have very healthy skin. You have probably heard that chocolate causes you to have more acne, right? This, of course, isn't necessarily true, but it does have some truth to it. You see the more fattening and unhealthy foods you eat, the worst it is for your skin.
Chocolate has fat in it, and most milk chocolate is much worse for you than good, partially because of the fat, including your skin.
What you drink has an affect on your skin as well. Many people know that they don't drink enough water, but what they don't realize is the more water you drink the better your skin. Part of being dehydrated is not having enough water in your body. A good thing to remember is, water is partially oxygen, and the more oxygen your body has, the more energy you have as well, you are also more healthy, and so isn't your skin.
Additionally fiber has an impact on your skin, and if you are interested in natural skin care you might be intrigued to know the more fiber you have in your diet, meeting federal food guidelines for the daily limits, the better it is for your skin.
One last thing you can do for natural skin care is exfoliation. You don't have to use chemicals for this. You can buy exfoliating brushes. This helps remove the dead skin from your face, which makes it a lot easier to see the gorgeous skin underneath. You should do this on a regular basis, remember you will have dead skin cells everyday. You don't have to stick to just your face either, your elbows and knees are also a good place to exfoliate.
Natural skin care is much easier than you would think due to there being little interference with your regular schedule. For the most part all you have to do is keep up a healthy diet of water, fiber, and little fats and you are on your way to the best looking skin of your life.
