Kitchen wall clocks can be a critical piece of equipment if your family actually sits down at a table and eats breakfast (heaven forbid in this busy age) – and also has deadlines for school and work. And you need a wall clock because most kitchens are loaded with ‘stuff’ and who needs more crap to sit on the counters?
But where do we put these useful little gadgets?
Kitchen clocks above the sink or oven:
Placing kitchen wall clocks above the sink or oven is one of the better solutions, providing you can safely install it on the kitchen cabinets without ruining them or the wall. The clocks will be easily seen by anyone, excluding those staying near the sink and it will probably be close enough to cast a casual look on it from time to time without making anyone nervous.
Above the doorway:
This is a very common place for kitchen wall clocks and they certainly look good there. This solution has only one drawback, though. People in the kitchen who look at wall clocks might have to do some stretching or moving because often doors aren’t usually anywhere near the kitchen table and one glance may not be enough.
Above the table:
Placing kitchen wall clocks above the kitchen table is at the same time the best and the worst thing you can do. It depends solely on who will sit in front of it and who will have it behind them so that they have to twist around to see. If you decide to put it there, make sure that those who must leave the house early will sit in front of the clock.
