If you’re in the United States you already know that today is our annual Labor Day holiday. All schools and many government offices are closed and it’s one of my favorite days in the year. But not for the reason you might think.
Labor Day is the emotional start of autumn. The calendar says it’s still summer but the temperatures are cooling down, especially at night. Fall fashions and goodies are appearing in the stores and all kids are back to school. I even saw a couple of yellow leaves yesterday. Yee-ha! Welcome autumn. It’s been a long time coming.
