We’ve just introduced a new product here in our BlissPlan shop. It’s 130 cross stitch patterns of the famous Flower Fairies by Cicely Mary Barker. We sell all of these flower fairies individually, but for those who love the fairies, these are the best ways to grab them.
And the first thing we do is have our new staff graphics designer edit the images. That extra – and very time consuming step – makes a huge difference as you can see. It’s not hard to find images of the fairies but most of them are in pretty terrible shape. They’re faded, streaked and generally pretty sorry looking. But not ours! See for yourself.
If you love cross stitch and want our fairy patterns, you can get them either as a download or have a DVD shipped directly to your home.
We see vintage art, fabrics, rooms, etc., and very often they’re faded and perhaps even discolored, drab, etc. But clearly they weren’t that way when they were created! They were vibrant and fresh and we don’t do them justice if we accept the often dilapidated state.
And look, for instance, at the Nasturtium fairy, the little fellow directly above these words. See how cracked and …weird … his face looks? We’ve smoothed it out so that it looks like a real face, rather than the unhappy version on the left. We can be sure that Cicely Mary Barker did NOT paint the little fellow in that unattractive way.
