All kinds of adjectives have been used to describe the winter storm that has been battering the south for the last 3 days: catastophic, disastrous, epic, unprecedented. Frotunately, the worst is over (I think). The sleet/freezing rain/snow seems to be slowing down and the temps are supposed to reach 41 degrees today. Hopefully, the roads will clear off this afternoon and we can venture forth from the house – can you say "cabin fever"?
Gratitude & Appreciation
I practice gratitutde and appreciation on a daily basis and I feel both of those emotions about the fact that our power didn't go out!!! There are supposedly 500,000 poor souls in the south right now without any power and my heart goes out to them. However, the news reported 8,000 power crews in the area, from as far away as Texas, so hopefully it will be back on soon.
And, of course, it's GORGEOUS! Just more reason for blessings.
